Fachklinik Hornheide for tumors and facial and skin restoration, University of Münster
New construction
The trans-regional Fachklinik Hornheide specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients who suffer from skin deformities, especially skin cancer. The horizontal organization of the new hospital building, keeping the structure to no more than two floors, and green courtyards all come together to create a light-filled pavilion hospital integrated into the flat Münsterland landscape. A walkway connects the two-story entrance hall to all of the hospital's functional areas and also integrates previously constructed buildings for rehabilitation and long-term care. The new space includes examination and treatment rooms, the surgical department with aseptic and septic ORs, ICU, and 8 units, each with 17 beds.
