Alteration and restoration
After receiving the commission from the Provincial Building Ministry of Cottbus, our company completely restored and expanded the heritage buildings on the “judicial hill”. The ensemble incorporates the central building for the regional court, the district court and the judicial tower as well as the buildings for the former investigative custody facility. Cell doors and cell structures have been retained as a testament to former usage. The regional court’s central facility with the representative jury courtroom is the central piece of the ensemble. Modern solutions in accordance with procedural code have been realized through conscientious layout alterations and the creation of walking paths for judicial participants. Within this process the access path for defendants from the presentation cells to the large courtroom were also restructured while ensuring adherence to modern safety aspects. Modern building services have been installed according to monumental regulations without changing the historical character of the building.
