Art- and culture barn in
Sculpture Park Katzow / Western Pommerania
A unique sculpture park has been created in an open landscape as a result of annually held sculpting workshops. A typical countryside barn, about to be demolished, was rebuilt in the park and has become the ensemble’s architectural center point. The multifunctional art- and culture barn has decisively enhanced the usage possibilities of the park and provided a weather-independent facility within the park. The building accommodates an exhibition- and sales room, a small cafe and a work room. The exhibition room on the upper floor is characterized by a heritage roof construction and can also be used as an event hall. Guest rooms with hotel quality round off the range of usages. Many large sculptures are positioned on the expansive lawns as landmarks of steel, stone and wood.
