Wolfsburg Hospital
Goal- and total planning

Care areas were restructured and the G House was constructed, which resulted in a new layout of the entry area. The main path provides optimized orientation for patients and visitors. It also allows for a separation of emergency patient traffic and the visitor traffic for stationary patients. The care areas have been replaced by modern patient rooms and care facilities. Thus, the hospital has eight new, economical general care units at its disposal with a total of 256 beds. The emergency center with two operating theatres, recovery area and intensive care unit with twelve beds was moved during the examination- and treatment area relocation. The alteration- and restoration work was performed as the hospital remained operational. In a further step a reception unit with 20 beds will be established in the immediate vicinity of the emergency room and radiology.
