Helmholtz Center for Infection Research
New laboratory building on the campus of the University of Saarland in Saarbrücken
The plans are for a new 4,600 square meter laboratory building for pharmaceutical research at the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research were submitted in November 2012 for financing through the European Regional Development Fund. Just three weeks later, the planning application was ready to be submitted to the city of Saarbrücken. In addition to about 1,580 square meter of office space, some 2,500 square meter of S1 and S2 standard laboratory space with associated social, storage and common areas are being built.
