Health campus in Stammheimer Feld lll Calw
RDS Partner makes its contribution to the “Urban development and structural implementation of the health campus in Stammheimer Feld lll, Calw” project.
The health campus is to house a new hospital and other facilities for inpatient and outpatient care, prevention, and health promotion. The planning encompasses 16,380 sq. m of usable space on the more than 6.5 ha of the Stammheimer Feld III site.
The campus is to be established with several separate, but spatially connected health facilities around the new clinic. The design is based on an easily understood basic structure that allows for good orientation within the building as well as optimally ensures all necessary links for the nephrological center, the Haus der Gesundheit [House of Health], and the Zentrum für Psychiatrie [Center for Psychiatry] to the hospital outside. Patients can reach the individual building units on short routes via a main corridor, the glass coupling elements act here as a mediator between the north side (access zone) and the south side (landscape link), the material transparency provides the patients a view of the landscape, and orientation points are offered as well.
A total of 177 beds is planned. There are 135 beds in basic and standard care, 30 beds in the psychosomatic clinic, and 12 beds in the day clinic for pediatric and adolescent psychiatry. In addition, 25 dialysis places are planned in the nephrological center.
