IDT Biologika Riems
The dedication of the new research building for the IDT Biologika in Riems took place on May 29th, 2017, exactly two years after the cornerstone was laid by Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The expansion of the IDT location in Riems to house research and vaccination production facilities required an investment of roughly 12 million euros. A total of 30 laboratories were constructed within the new research and quality controlling building, which offers 1800 square meters of space. The laboratories and work stations were equipped to meet state of the art demands.
The new building was dedicated before these laboratories can be qualified as clean rooms. This allowed the many guests at the celebration, including Harry Glawe, Economic Minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Prof. Franz J. Conraths, Vice President of the Friedrich-Loeffer-Institute, and Carsten Klocke, Managing Partner of Klocke Holding, to tour the new laboratories and facilities.
