Winners of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern 2016 State Construction Prize were honored on June 16th, 2016 in the Golden Hall of the Neustädtischen Palais in Schwerin. The State Construction Prize was created to honor projects that fulfill high aesthetic, functional, and economic quality demands. They document structural development throughout the state. The State Construction Prize was distributed for the tenth time in 2016. The jury chose eight finalists from all 52 applications for the 2016 construction competition through a detailed selection process. RDS Partner was honored for its work on the overall renovation of the Friedrich-Loeffler Institute on the Island of Riems under a general planning contract with IttenBrechbühl. The construction of the new laboratory and animal husbandry areas at the Friedrich-Loeffler Institute has created one of the world’s five most modern research institutions for animal health in a historic area of the island of Riems.
