First Prisoners Move In
Bautzen Correction Center, House II, reconstruction and renovation to house detainees
In mid-January 2013, as part of the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Bautzen Corrections Center, the first prisoners were moved to the so-called interim solution. Currently, the structural work of the first phase has been completed, so that the construction of the extension could start immediately. The total project construction cost of approximately €7.5m includes 40 resident rooms, therapy and recreation areas.
