Expansion of forensic clinics at the District Hospital
The building complex consists of four buildings with 120 beds that rise up from north to south in line with the topography of the land. This inspired the idea of stepping stones, which symbolically represent the way patients reintegrate into society step-by-step. The upper part of the building is slightly removed from the whole, and includes the discharge station, located outside the security zone. The other three areas are placed tightly together and together with Building 6 and Building 2 (already existing) form the areas for youth, adult, and occupational therapy. 72 participants were invited to participate in the invitation-only design competition and RDS Partners won second place with its design. Subsequently, however, its design was commissioned to be built.
