Grand Opening
New Clinic Building on the Eichberg in Eltville
On September 19, 2025, the new building for adult psychiatry at the Vitos Clinic Eichberg was officially inaugurated. RDS Partner served as general planner, responsible for both the design and realization of the project. After two and a half years of construction, a facility has been delivered that convinces not only through its functionality but also through its contemporary architectural framework for treatment and accommodation.
The three-story building, covering approximately 4,350 square meters, now houses five wards with a total of 120 beds. Patients are accommodated in comfortable double rooms, each equipped with a private bathroom, floor-to-ceiling windows, and modern furnishings. The building also includes a fitness room and a variety of functional and therapy spaces on all floors.
With the commissioning of the new facility, wards and therapy units that were previously spread across nine different buildings on the extensive clinic grounds are now centralized. This significantly improves workflows and provides noticeable relief for both patients and staff.
Adult psychiatry on the Eichberg looks back on a tradition of more than 150 years. Many listed buildings from the 19th century continue to shape the historic ensemble. With the new construction, a new chapter in the clinic’s history is being written—one that combines tradition and future.
The opening ceremony also marked the introduction of the new clinic director, Dr. Julia Reiff, who emphasized in her speech:
“Our new building represents openness, light, and dignity alongside medical expertise and therapeutic diversity. Our patients should feel welcome and supported. We want to break down stigma and strengthen mental health.”
