As part of the Capital of Culture Ruhr 2010, the Ruhr Atoll lighthouse project was opened on the Baldeneysee in Essen-Werden on May 12, 2010. RDS Partner redesigned the lake's dam structures with an innovative lighting installation to provide a stunning backdrop for this cultural context.
