1st prize Realization competition
St. Vincentius-Kliniken gAG Karlsruhe new replacement building Steinhäuserstraße
The architects BDA RDS Partner and the planning company Bergstermann + Dutczak win 1st prize as a working team (two 1st prizes in total).
In the medium-term, St. Vincentius Kliniken gAG plans to consolidate all clinical tasks at the Steinhäuserstraße
location.
The competition task was to illustrate this planning goal in two construction phases by depicting a total of 650 beds and the required service facilities with a net usage space of approximately 42,900 square meters while satisfying all requirements for process-optimized hospital activities.
The realization competition was preceded by a Europe-wide selection process.
